Cons: same video card as obsolete VGN previous model Z790, very expensive. Many of bloatware, slightly fragile design, speakers calm.
Key Takeaway: The VGN-z890 does not propose substantial changes to its predecessor, the VGN-Z790, but when a laptop is already this good, it is understandable. This laptop is still one of the most powerful of his weight class.

The LED backlight keeps power consumption and weight at its lowest, and the screen using XBRITE-DuraView technology. This technology provides additional protection scratches on your LCD screen – something very necessary for such Portable small and thin.
Processor:
The P9700 Intel is one of the best processors for energy saving a notebook of this size, an additional cost of $ 150 to upgrade the P8800. TheP9700 features 6MB of L2 cache and runs at 2.8 GHz. It uses architecture 45nm and runs at 28w with a 1066 MHz FSB.
Video Card:
Once again, Sony chose to use the same hybrid system as the video card before. The VGN-z890 uses 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS and Intel GMA 4500MHD with Intel Clear Video Technology. The patented hybrid system that uses Sony allows you to switch between two video cards without having to restart your computer. The 9300M is capable of running more demanding games and applications, and can run HD 4500MHD / Blu-Ray, while giving you much more battery life. Both cards are also DirectX 10 compatible well.

The VGN-z890 is stored with a standard sound card high Intel high definition and standard speakers. Not really much to say here …

Sony offers Many features wireless networking. The VGN-z890 has a Gigabit Ethernet – Ethernet offering speeds. The computer Portable features wireless N, and is able to connect to 802.11 a / b / g / n 2.4 GHz using the Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN card. This notebook also supports Verizon Mobile Broadband as an option and supports Bluetooth wireless technology with stunning reception and transmission speed. The Bluetooth was the norm, and so was the A2DP.
Keyboard and mouse:
The keyboard on the VGN-z890 is single most portable keyboards. The colored buttons are not together, and are spaced. There are 82 keys, which are all lying. The keyboard uses strips of aluminum which keeps the light portable and durable. Although it is not indicated, the touchpad can conduct it.
Battery:
When you run the Mobile Mark 2007 to test the battery on the battery standard, we received scores very acceptable. We were able achieve autonomy of 4 hours and 2 minutes with the GeForce enabled. With the integrated Intel graphics card, we got a battery life 4 hours and 55 minutes.
Conclusion:
Overall we were very pleased that the Sony Vaio VGN-z890. It is one of the computers Portable fastest mobile for its weight class and size. We were very happy with the keyboard design. This laptop is very close to his predecessor, and we had sea points for that. Due to the fact that this laptop is still an excellent choice for executive travelers and I rate it a 4.25 / 5.
